Centre of Water Tourism Development “Bāka” (lighthouse in Latvian) was established in the territory of the nature protected area “Wetland of Lubāns” near the biggest lake in Latvia - Lubāns. Centre “Bāka” invites you to relax in the picturesque place located 42 km north from Rezekne.

We offer various leisure activities:

Sports: wide range of activities, especially during the summer. In summer you can play beach volley-ball, tennis, novus, and darts as well as refresh yourself in Lake Lubāns. We offer windsurfing, riding the motor boat and row-boating. In winter there are good possibilities for skiing and ice-skating. During windy weather you can go kiteboarding.

Outdoor entertainment: watching and enjoying birds and surroundings from the sight tower which is 10m high (the highest place in the area of Lake Lubans). We offer the places for barbeque and resting in the territory of the centre and beach which is located 2 km form the centre “Bāka”.

For eager fishermen - fishing of various lake fish (including such an exclusive fish as sander) during the summer and winter. On the spot you can make fish soup from your catch on our country fireplace.

Arrangement of seminars and celebrations – at the centre “Bāka” you can celebrate anniversaries, wedding, arrange official receptions, preside over seminars, conferences, as well as organize creative camps. For bigger/larger celebrations we offer a tent which can receive 100 persons. If necessary, it is possible to use a projector and screen.
